Themed restaurants in Tokyo

Themed Restaurants are one of the highlights in Tokyo. Not only do you get to enjoy delectable Japanese cuisines, you will be in for an unforgettable and interesting experience. Eating in one of these restaurants is not a mundane routine, but an adventure!
Themed restaurants in Tokyo
There is a large choice of themed restaurants. In Tokyo you find most, but also at other main cities in Japan they can be found. Few themes you can expect to find are:

  • Alice in Wonderland
  • Alcatraz
  • Ninja
  • Vampire
  • ChristOn Cafe
  • Maid Café
  • Butler

There are many more. We enjoyed to visit ChristOn Café in Shinjuku, Tokyo

Upon entrance at the 7th floor of the building, you will be welcomed by the staff which are dressed like priests and nuns. The restaurant is decorated like a church including gothic windows in the walls. Large chandeliers bring appropriate light into the dim room.

Devoted (church organ) music in the background adds a lot to this sacred place. If you are not yet ready to pray or to confess, you can start reading the holy book at your table which contains the restaurant’s menu.

The way the restaurant is themed is just awesome and fun and the food is tasteful too.

You can read much more about other themed restaurants in the book “Crazy Wacky Theme Restaurants” by La Carmina (ISBN 978-0-9820754-1-8) or visit her website.
