Manneke Pis
In Europe the statue of the Peeing Boy at the market place in the city center of Brussels, Belgium is a famous statue. However, unknown to many non Japanese people, but “Manneke Pis” as the statue in Brussels is called, appears to have a twin brother in Miyochi, Shikoku Japan.
A little north of the “Iya Onsen” hotel one can find the Peeing Boy statue (“撒尿男孩” 塑像). In Iya valley, almost similar as the one as can be found in Brussels in Belgium, however this one stands just next to the road outside the security fence. The statue pees down deep into the valley. Be careful though, you sure do not want to try this when the wind blows from wrong side.
